Ashton Sixth Form College Proud to Receive Willow Wood Hospice Volunteers’ Week Award

19 May 26

We are incredibly proud to have been recognised by Willow Wood Hospice with a special award celebrating our commitment to volunteering and work placements.

Presented as part of the hospice’s Volunteers’ Week celebrations, the award recognises the ongoing support the college provides through the many students who volunteer their time, energy and compassion to support the incredible work during their work placements.

Two members of the Willow Wood team visited the college to personally present the award to our Work Placement Team and Principal.  During the presentation, the hospice spoke about how grateful they are for the college’s continued partnership and the positive impact our students make through their volunteering.

We’re so proud that the dedication shown by so many people across the college community has been recognised! Behind every successful placement is a team that works tirelessly to build meaningful opportunities for students, creating experiences that not only support future careers, but also make a genuine difference to local organisations and the people they care for.

We are also proud of our students, who represent the college so positively every time they volunteer. Through their kindness, professionalism and commitment, they continue to bring support, compassion and positivity to Willow Wood Hospice and the wider community.

A huge thank you to Willow Wood Hospice for this wonderful award and for the incredible work they do every day.
