Course Description
How have past events shaped the world we live in today, and what can history teach us about power, conflict and change? A Level History gives you the opportunity to explore some of the most significant people, events and developments that have influenced societies across different time periods.
Throughout the course, you'll develop your analytical, research and evaluation skills while studying a range of historical themes and events. You'll learn how historians use evidence to investigate the past, compare different interpretations and construct well-supported arguments. You'll also complete an independent historical investigation, allowing you to explore a topic that interests you in greater depth.
A Level History is an excellent choice if you're curious about the past and enjoy debating ideas and analysing evidence. It combines well with subjects such as Politics, English Literature, Psychology, Sociology and Geography.
