Year 11 Open Day - Saturday 17th October 2026

Come along to our open day and meet our friendly, specialist staff and find out more about the fantastic courses that are available here at Ashton Sixth Form College.

You will have the opportunity to hear talks from our Centre Principal, Lisa Richards, the Head of our XL Academy, Rob Murray-Green, and some of our current and past students talking about their student experience.

Alongside the talks, you have the opportunity to freely explore our campus and visit subject rooms where there will be fun activities available for all. From science laboratories and art studios to a hospital room, a Nursery classroom, a music recording studio and a gym & fitness suite, you can explore our buildings and talk to our course experts to find out what subjects might be right for you.

You will also have the chance to speak to our support areas including our Inclusive Learning team, Senior Tutor team, Careers team, and many more who will have a stand in Costa.

These events are always popular and can get busy, but our friendly staff and students will be on hand to help you make the most of your visit.

This is a ticket-only event. You should book 1 ticket per student attending.

Parking

Please be aware there is limited parking on site. For events, the public should be expected to use our rear carpark.

This is a one-way carpark, with the Entrance on Montague Road at the bus terminal and Exit on Arundel Street.

Other parking option nearby - Darnton Rd, Stalybridge SK15 1NH - Darnton Road Car Park: A pay-and-display car park located on Darnton Road opposite Stamford park. Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council operates local pay-and-display sites, which offer up to 2 hours of free parking between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM (though a valid ticket must still be displayed)

We ask politely that you do not attempt to park on double yellow lines outside of the college as we are not liable for any traffic offences.
