Trustee
We are seeking individuals who are interested in joining our board of trustees, to lead the Trust into the next phase of our development. We wish to appoint people who knows what steps are needed to improve a school in a sustainable manner, but with pace, and who has the inspirational and organisational qualities to take a strategic lead on that journey, whilst preserving and further developing the beliefs, values and culture of the Academies within the Trust.

In looking to fill these vacancies we are interested in applications from people with the skills outlined below:
Audit, finance and risk
The trust seeks a trustee with strong audit, finance and risk experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in a charity or non-profit organisation, as well as demonstrating experience from a commercial, retail or industry setting, including evidence of contribution to growing a business, chain of businesses or franchises, as well as experience of head office and organisational development, including driving efficiency improvements in central services.
Education and School Improvement
The trust seeks a trustee who possesses skills and experience from across the educational landscape, with a specific requirement for school leadership. Experience of working in a role with responsibility for school improvement is welcomed.
Business, Governance and Human Resources
The trust seeks individuals who possess a strong ‘general’ skillset from across the business sphere, with a specific requirement for growth management. Experience working in a role with responsibility for corporate governance, legal services or human resources would be valuable.
Commitment
Trusteeship is a voluntary, unpaid role for people who have the energy and skills to make a real contribution to shaping the future of our schools. You do not need to have any specialist knowledge of education.
The time commitment is approximately 4 hours per month during term time as a minimum. Board meetings are held at the Trust’s registered office at Ashton Sixth Form College (OL6 9RL), mainly in the evenings.

Sixth Form Colleges’ Pay Grade NSP1 – NSP9 £32,178 -£49,725 per annum
Candidates invited to interview will be asked to produce and deliver a 20 min Micro teach session to a group of A Level students on Attachment – Animal studies. The college follows the AQA Psychology specification.

In order to ensure the school can provide an effective and efficient catering service we are seeking to appoint a hardworking, committed and enthusiastic candidate to join our catering team.
Working effectively, alongside other members of the team. Your role will mainly be operating a till. Ensuring students purchases are completed within a specific time frame, in a warm and friendly manner.
Complying with stock rotation procedures and refilling and replacing consumables and general cleaning duties will also be part of the role.
Previous experience would be an advantage but is not essential. A willingness to be flexible in your approach, acting with integrity and having the ability to carry out all duties in line with school expectations and health and safety guidelines are all qualities which are essential. All staff are expected to act as effective role models and be prepared to demonstrate the school core values and be able to support students in an appropriate and professional manner to ensure all users have a positive experience when using the catering facilities at the school.

Longdendale High School is pleased to welcome applications for the position of Pastoral Support Worker to extend our current inclusion team. We are on a journey to provide the highest standards of pastoral care to our students. The role is varied and will focus upon personalised Inclusion support for individual students, small groups and daily operational support for the school’s pastoral and inclusion systems. Work includes delivering individual and small group developmental programmes, working with inclusion leaders to resolve student conflict and where appropriate providing additional support within the classroom environment and at lunch and break times. The year groups the post holders will work with will be decided following interview.
Demonstrating the ability to build and maintain strong positive relationships with students with a wide range of needs is essential to this role. Previous experience of working within a school environment and supporting students is preferred but not essential. A willingness to be flexible in your approach and face challenges positively is required.
