Holly Wright

"Holly joined Media through course change clinic and has shown tremendous improvement in her knowledge of media terms and the set texts. She caught up through attending extra sessions and hard work. She’s shown a tremendous improvement in her photoshop skills – even though she still claims to be ‘bad at it’ - her practice coursework is excellent."

Reuben Dearnley

Nominated by Digital Technology and Multimedia

"Reuben enjoys the practical element of the course, and has struggled through GCSE with essay writing, which is 70% of the Film Studies course. Reuben often stated that he had tried lots of different revision approaches, but none of them worked. Through guidance and advice, Reuben has managed to reflect on his approach to revision; and was able to improve by 2 grades in the recent college assessment point, proving to himself he can do it, he just needed to find the right methods. The future looks positive for Reuben!"

Viktor Volovikov

Nominated by Psychology & Criminology

"Viktor has shown excellent dedication throughout the course and has notably improved throughout the year. With English not being his 1st language, he often needs time to process the information before making notes however, he takes the time to do this both in and out of lesson and will always stay behind to ask for clarification if he hasn't understood something. Having started the course later than his peers, he took the time to catch up on the work and conduct further research to ensure he was best prepared for his start to the course. Keep up the great work Viktor and best of luck for your upcoming exams!"
