Georgia Taylor-Brown has won silver at the Tokyo Olympics in the triathlon.

Her determination and strength shone during the race which saw her complete the triathlon in 1:56:50, a pure test of endurance in swimming, cycling and running.

The weather was far from ideal with rainstorms threatening the start of the race, but this did not sway Georgia. She even suffered a flat tyre in the last kilometre of the 40km bike ride. Incredibly, Georgia managed to make up the lost time in the run, fighting hard to finish second.

Georgia studied at Ashton Sixth Form College from 2010-2012, starting her early education at Fairfield High School, before progressing on to study Exercise & Sport Science at university in Leeds.

An incredible achievement representing Team GB at age 27!
