PGCE students explore independent learning at Manchester Museum

28 February 2020

PGCE students from Ashton's Higher and Adult Education department visited the Manchester Museum.

These students are currently studying their PGCE course focussing on primary education, developing their skills and understanding to become qualified teachers.

The aim of the visit to the museum was to look at how museum spaces can encourage independent learning. By visiting the museum they were able to see firsthand the opportunities that are available to young people and how they can utilise this experience in their own teaching careers after qualifying.
