Apply your creative imagination to design processes, modification and prototypes, including Product and Car Design, Architecture, Interiors, Costumes, Sets and Props. We will help you gain hands-on experience and an understanding of design from both an industry and a theoretical perspective.

Throughout your studies, you will have access to our dedicated Art and Design studios. The 3D Design and Technology studio is fully equipped with machinery and equipment to allow you to develop your skills and experiment artistically in a safe and creative environment.

You will explore a broad range of practical 3D/2D skills whilst embedding the fundamentals of design. You will then apply the skills you have learned in briefs using research, development of ideas and refinement to finished pieces. All work is carried out in sketchbooks, prototypes and model making. You will cover a range of techniques including use of tools and workshop machinery.

Your practical work follows a pathway of analytical research of artists’ work, development and idea refinement to final practical pieces within the exploration of a given theme. More advanced techniques and skills are taught and developed including Photoshop and 3D software. Personal exploration is encouraged, as are independent student work, thought and idea generation.
