The Sports Festival 2019

13 September 2019

This year's Sports Festival was an incredible afternoon bringing together students from across the college who are passionate about representing Ashton Sixth Form College through sport.

Over 100 first year students took part in women's netball, men's and women's basketball, men's football and men's rugby.

Students who take part in sports at college build their teamwork, time management and communication skills. They are able to meet new people who share similar passions.

Sport enrichment at Ashton Sixth Form College has grown year on year, providing students with an extensive offer of activities. The Sports Festival was the first session of the year allowing students to try out for teams and get to know their fellow teammates.

In order to provide the best opportunities for students, both in coaching and funding, the college has partnered with Team England Netball, England Rugby and Manchester Giants. The future for sport at Ashton is looking extremely bright.
