Drama and Theatre Students Visit the Globe Theatre in London

2 May 2017

A2 Drama and Theatre Studies students travelled to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London on Saturday for a day trip to the theatre.

Students were able to experience Daniel Kramer's spectacular production of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, as part of the Summer of Love programme. The original Globe Theatre was built in 1599, with the modern reconstruction of the Globe being built in 1997.

Visiting the renowned venue in London to see such a distinguished play, students gained a vital insight into what being in the audience must have been like for those who experienced the original Shakespearean productions.
