The Realising Aspirations programme has officially launched for 2023-24.

Realising Aspirations is the college's flagship university preparation programme. It allows students to experience university life whilst studying at Ashton Sixth Form College. Students can choose from a variety of subject strands, such as STEM and Humanities, and attend lectures and talks from university academics. Additionally, students also have the opportunity to visit universities across the country. This way they are able to tour different universities and receive tailored activities in relation to the subject strands, so they can then make informed decisions for their next steps after college.

Centre Principal, Lisa Richards welcomed the new cohort to the programme. Lisa shared the history of Realising Aspirations, and the programme's Coordinator, Alex Noble, explored with students the structure of the programme and the importance of getting involved in what is offered to them.
