Public Services alumni secures exciting role!

9 October 2023

Millie Kidd, from Longdendale High School, studied Public Services at Ashton Sixth Form College and achieved Distinction* in the course! Her 2 years of studying prepared her for her future career in the NHS.

Since leaving college, Millie has secured the role as a Emergency Medical Advisor for North West Ambulance Service. Millie applied for the role after attending a careers fair earlier this year and was successful in the application and interview process.

As an Emergency Medical Advisor, Millie answers 999 calls, gathers information and makes important decisions. She also gives care advice if required and also in some cases, is trained to give life saving CPR over the phone.

Millie is really enjoying her role and is hoping to train as a Paramedic in the next few years.

A huge well done to Millie for securing this role. The Public Services department are incredibly proud!
