Cross-college FIFA tournament success

30 June 2020

Students from Ashton Sixth Form College joined the FIFA20 College Championships Tournament.

The event was organised by the AoC (Association of Colleges) and was the AoC's first ever FIFA college tournament.

The college entered two teams made up of both staff and students on PS4 and Xbox.

56 college teams entered on Xbox meaning the competition was tough! The ASFC Legends won 5 rounds, drew 1 and only lost 1. This put them in an amazing position overall, placing and incredible 4th out of 56 teams. They ended the tournament just 3 points from the top spot. An incredible achievement.

Over on the PlayStation 4 tournament, 50 teams from colleges across the country entered. The ASFC Allstars won 3 out of 5 rounds, placing them 10th out of 50.

The college is extremely proud of the students and staff who took part. The event was a great way to keep busy and represent the college during some of the most unusual times.
