Physics Students Recognised by Ogden Trust

Ashton Sixth Form College students, Joe Jones, Lucy Cryer and Daniel Thorley were recognised by the Ogden Trust. The students were highlighted as outstanding North West Physics students and prizes were awarded at a ceremony at the University of Manchester.

The Ogden Trust was launched in 1999 and works to encourage and promote the teaching and learning of Physics. The trust selects students who consistently work and achieve to an exceptionally high standard in the field of Physics.

Students from the college were chosen to receive the accolade and the Ogden Trust also rewards those students who pursue a career in Physics by sponsoring them through stages of their education such as Higher Education.

 

Physics at Ashton Sixth Form College is an incredible course for those wishing to progress on to science-related career pathways. Students on the A-Level course consistently work to a high standard and leave with incredible results. In 2015-16, 92% of students progressed on to higher education.
