Update on building works at college

22 March 2024

Dear student/parent

As many of you are aware, we have building works due to start in college next week (Monday 25/3/24). The project is to demolish the current classrooms and changing rooms connected to our Sports Hall followed by building 10 additional classrooms, staffrooms and changing rooms in a three storey building.

Building work is disruptive, and as we are a 'live' site, there are inevitably some health and safety considerations. For the duration of the build, which will go on until June 2025, students will not be able to enter or exit college through the Montague Road entrance. This is normally one of our main entrances, so this is a significant change. Students who normally come into college from that direction should re-route across the front of college to the Arundel Street entrance where we will open the gates at key arrival and exit times.

Parents may still use the turning circle to drop off or pick up students, but students will need to enter the other side of college.

I am sorry for any disruption caused but there is no other safe way around this. I'd like to thank you in advance for your support and co-operation in this matter.

Kind regards

Lisa Richards (Centre Principal).
