Public order training

10 March 2020

Public Services students were invited by Greater Manchester Police to take part in their Public Order Training.

Students were given a firsthand experience of police training and how important it is.

Officers who take part in the training gain a qualification that allows them to be deployed at both planned or spontaneous events.

Students were able to gain an understanding of the unpredictable nature of public order events and how key training such as this ensures the safety of everyone involved. Through studying the Public Services, students gain a well-rounded view of the Police Force and the important role they play in society. Visits and experiences throughout their course allow them to make well informed decisions about their futures.
