Guide dogs visit Ashton Sixth Form College!

8 February 2023

Last week, The Guide Dogs visited Ashton Sixth Form College.

Dawn Cobb and her team of volunteers brought along four dogs: Casper, Orla, Waffles and Lori!

Students spent the afternoon engaging with the dogs, hearing about the real benefits a Guide Dog can have on a person's quality of life!

By attending the enrichment event, students were able to take a calming moment out of their day to meet the dogs.

Guide Dogs is a registered charity that works to provide mobility for the blind and partially sighted, as well as supporting research, raising awareness and campaigning for the visually impaired.

Our students and staff who visited the Guide Dogs donated a total of £150 to the charity!

We hope to invite the Guide Dogs into college again soon. Thank you to all the volunteers and dogs who visited us.
