22 November 2022

Emilia Platt studies Sport Science, Law and Psychology here at Ashton.

As well as being on our XL High Achievers programme, Emilia is also involved with cross country outside of her studies and has recently been selected to represent the North West in the AoC Cross Country National Championship in 2023!

Emilia started running cross country during Primary School for her own enjoyment and the sport has progressed into her competing competitively all around the country.

In the 2021/22 cross country season, Emilia was Greater Manchester u17 Champion, 12th place in the Northern league, 17th place in the National Cross Country league and finished 5th in the English Schools competition! Definitely a year of success for Emilia.

As well as the AoC National Championships, Emilia is also focusing on running the British Cross Challenge races and gaining as much experience as possible. She has recently represented the North of England in the Home Countries International where the team finished 3rd!

The college and Sports department wish Emilia the best of luck in the AoC Championships and other competitions she has coming up!
