Lest We Forget Dance show!

17 November 2022

To mark Remembrance Day, our Performing Arts department put on the dance show - 'Lest We Forget'

A few years ago, Dance teacher and Head of Department, Tamzin Sinclair-Sivins, created Lest We Forget to raise money and awareness for the Tameside Armed Services Community (TASC). The dance show is a powerful medium that brings people together.

TASC is a group formed from the armed forces community with direct links to military charities and wise partner organisations. All the members involved are volunteers and therefore 100% of the funds raised are given directly into projects and supporting veterans.

Lest We Forget is a collection of work from a range of groups, companies, clubs, academics and schools from the Tameside borough. There was over 178 performers participating in the dance show and over £800 was raised for the TASC charity! Several veterans also visited to watch the show.

It was a brilliant performance with all Performing Arts staff and students helping out on the evening.
