Criminology students welcome lecturer Dr Toni Wood

3 March 2022

Criminology students have been working on their 'Prison projects' this week. As part of project week, the Social Sciences welcomed a range of guest speakers and professionals to the department, both virtually and in person.

Dr Toni Wood is a lecturer in Criminology at the University of Salford. She previously worked in NHS mental health settings and her central research interests include the health and wellbeing of prisoners and staff.

Students were able to hear about some of the research she has done and is currently doing. Whilst working on their own projects, students were able to get a better understanding of the importance of research and the different areas of criminology research.
