Courtauld Careers Conversations continue

21 January 2022

Ashton Sixth Form College has joined the Careers Conversations programme with The Courtauld.

On Friday, Art and Design attended the second of three exclusive and prestigious sessions with The Courtauld Institute in the form of an interactive Webinar; ‘Career Conversations with Ashton Sixth Form College and Courtauld Alumni’.

18 Art & Design students, as well as staff from across the department, were able to engage and converse with the alumni participants, Tilly Scantlebury (The Courtauld Institute PhD 2021), Rowan Lowe (Refugee Council) and Gemma Rolls-Bentley (Curator MA - formally having worked for Damien Hirst) to gain an invaluable insight in to the Creative Industries and associated career pathways.

The resounding success of this event will hopefully culminate with an invitation for our students to visit The Courtauld Institute later in the year.

The aim of the programme is to allow A Level and Foundation Year students to gain an understanding of the range of careers and the many pathways formed by studying a degree in the Art and Design sector.
