Art students join the Courtauld Careers Project

22 June 2021

Art and Design students took part in a pilot career's project in collaboration with The Courtauld Institute.

Students were able to hear from the Courtauld Institute and learn more about the range of careers available in the creative sectors.

It was a fantastic opportunity for Ashton students to work with The Courtauld Institute and their alumni. The Courtauld are working with 8 different educational establishments across the country - where Courtauld factories pioneered the manufacture of Rayon (the area's association is with Samuel Courtauld - Cedar Mill in Ashton between 1960 - 80).

The 20 students participating were tasked with coming up with 'open' audio question(s) which were directed to 4/5 alumni to answer; this second phase will take place in the Autumn term and will culminate in a final workshop for students to attend at The Courtauld Institute.
