Mechanics session with A-Level Maths

2 March 2020

A-Level Mathematics students have been developing their subject specific knowledge and skills.

The Advanced Mathematics Support Programme visited the college to work with students on their understanding of Mechanics.

Mechanics is a key module of the Maths and Further Maths A-Levels. Students cover various topic areas including vectors, kinematics, forces, newton laws and moments.

This particular session on Mechanics encouraged students to further their learning and push their knowledge to a higher level. Sessions such this ensure that students have a key understanding of the topic and that they are also prepared to aim for the high grades that they are capable of achieving.

Working in groups, students also took part in a number of activities to apply their learning to real world situations.
