4 February 2020

Realising Aspirations in-college sessions have continued. The programme welcomes lecturers and professors who are experts in their field.

This week, Jodie Matthews from Huddersfield University spoke to students about 'Literary Journeys to the Past'.

Dr Andrew Thomas, from the University of Manchester, also visited Ashton Sixth Form College's Physical Sciences students to explore 'Why surfaces and interfaces are so important in technological materials'.

Students on the Realising Aspirations programme get to experience university-style teaching firsthand. The aim of the programme is to give students a greater understanding of university life , allowing them to make informed decisions about their futures.
