Art Colour Exhbition opens at The Market Gallery

15 January 2020

Art Foundation Year students have been chosen to exhibit at The Market Gallery.

The Market Gallery is a new exhibition space in Ashton Market Hall. The space opened in November and will regularly feature artists every 2-3 months.

The Colour Exhibition has been curated by the Art Foundation Year students at Ashton Sixth Form College who are currently taking a one year course at Ashton to further develop their skills, hone their craft and find their unique artistic styles.

This exhibition has allowed them to gain firsthand experience of the planning that goes in to developing an exhibition. Their work will be on display at Ashton Market Hall in the town centre for the public to visit until the 15th March. The aim of The Market Gallery is to showcase the work and talents of local artists from across Tameside.

The gallery opens today, 15th January and will be on display in Ashton Market Hall until March.
