Drama student's Fairytale panto at Residential Home

19 December 2019

Drama students from Ashton Sixth Form College's Performing Arts department delivered their Christmas pantomime show at the Birchfield Residential Scheme.

Birchfield Residential Homes are based in Ashton-under-Lyne and are led by the Jigsaw Group. The housing is available to individuals and families who need it and the residents who live there do so for a number of reasons.

Students wanted to give back this year and use their talents to help others. The pantomime 'Fairytale' allowed the children and their families to escape in to a magical world of Christmas for the afternoon. Santa was also in attendance, playing a pivotal role and handed out treats to the children.

The Performing Arts department enjoyed their visit and the panto was extremely well-received and enjoyed by all. The students also took a lot away from the visit reflecting on how they can use their performances to capture imaginations of all ages.
