College Community gathers for Remembrance Day

11 November 2019

The Ashton Sixth Form College community showed its strength and unity on Armistice Day.

Students and staff from across the college gathered together in the heart of the campus, the college courtyard.

Public Services and Performing Arts students delivered the service through a series of readings. Music was performed to the sounds of the Last Post and Rouse. Following a two minute silence, students and staff lifted red poppies in to the air.

"They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them."
