Inclusive Learning shared messages of encouragement

14 February 2019

The Inclusive Learning department regularly mark various occasions throughout the year, and Valentine's Day was no exception. This year, the team and their students decided to create a tree of 'love'.

Students who regularly use the Inclusive Learning areas were able to leave notes of love and encouragement for their fellow students. A few of these you can see below.

A broad range of students use the Inclusive Learning facilities at Ashton Sixth Form College. Students from all areas of the college work alongside the Learning Support Assistants to ensure that their college experience is as enjoyable, accessible and worthwhile as it can be. IL tailor their support to match each individual student. Some students across the college visit the Inclusive Learning department almost every day of their college life, while others may drop in every now and then.

The Inclusive Learning team, predominantly helps students with disabilities, learning differences or mental health needs. Support Assistants can simply provide a quiet space for students to work or they can be more involved, helping to provide Exam Access Arrangements or in-class support.

'You are more fabulous than you think you are'

'Every day may not be a good day but there is good in ever day'

'This is just one chapter in a long, wonderful story'
