Psychology and Science Conference at the RNCM

17 December 2018

Psychology students attended the Psychology and Science Conference at the RNCM.

Part of the conference included a hypnosis show with Andrew Newton. Andrew is based in South Africa but began his early education in Manchester after being classically trained at the Royal Northern College of Music.

During the hypnosis, some of the students were involved in the panel and had been hypnotised as part of the show.

Students were able to look at the differences between the left and right side of the face (above) and also explored whether this is linked to their personality.

The conference allowed students to apply their knowledge from the classroom to the different uses of psychology in daily life.
