Student Enrichment Day 2018

26 September 2018

First year students took part in Enrichment Day 2018 today!

The range of activities on offer to students was tremendous and the day is a key opportunity for students to learn a skill, meet new people and also have some fun too.

Many students traveled around 60 miles off campus to Blackpool Pleasure Beach for a fun day out. Some students chose to visit The Lowry and the Imperial War Museum North with Art and Design. Other first year students took part in various enrichment activities throughout the college.

These Enrichment activities included VR gaming, wizard wand-making, self-defense techniques, football, sign language, beginners French, cupcake decorating, FIFA 19, yoga and more! Whether students wanted to be creative and get involved in an art-based project, or they wanted to be active and play a sport, or they wanted to challenge themselves academically, Enrichment Day provides something for everyone.

Throughout students' time at Ashton Sixth Form College, they have chance to take part in Enrichment after college. This day is just a taste of what they could get involved in over the next two or three years.
