20 September 2018

Football Coaching students took center stage at the Manchester City v Lyon Champions League game last night.

As the build up to the game began and the teams made their way out on to the pitch, students who are currently studying Football Coaching at Ashton Sixth Form College proudly held the champions league flag in the middle of the pitch. The game marked the start of the group stages for both Manchester City and Lyon.

The Football Coaching course at Ashton Sixth Form College is run in partnership with City in the Community. The course provides students with a broad understanding of sport, with a particular focus on the football industry. The course particularly suits those wanting to enter employment in the sport and active leisure sector. Students also join the City in the Community BTEC leagues alongside national cup competitions.

Ashton Sixth Form College is proud to offer outstanding opportunities beyond the classroom to allow students to build their personal skills alongside the academic.
