Drama students explore the Globe

Performing Arts students currently studying Drama at Ashton Sixth Form College, recently visit the Globe theatre in London.

Students travelled down to London to explore the sites and visit one of the most well-known and respected theatres in the world.

Shakespeare's original Globe theatre dates back to 1576. At the time, it was the first purpose-built playhouse in London. In later years, the Globe was demolished and then rebuilt following fundraising and perseverance OF over 23 years. In 1993, the new Globe theatre was opening by Her Majesty the Queen.

Student studying Performing Arts courses, such as Drama, regularly go out on trips and visits to theatres and performances across the country. Opportunities to visit universities and drama schools are also available throughout their studies to provide students with the chance to think beyond their course and
