Student accepted on competitive Degree Apprenticeship

Ashton Sixth Form College student, Samee Choudhury, has been accepted on to an incredibly competitive Degree Apprenticeship in Digital and Technology Solutions at Manchester Metropolitan University with CDL as a web developer. After receiving his results this past summer with A-Levels in Mathematics (A*), Further Mathematics (B), and Physics (C), Samee began his Degree Apprenticeship. Samee started his education at Hyde Community College.

As part of the Employability Tutor Group, Samee expressed an interest in a more practical route towards his desired career. During his time at Ashton Sixth Form College Samee worked with the Careers Department. As part of the Employability Tutor Group, Samee had access to a wealth of resources, attending networking events, apprenticeship fairs, practice assessments centres and practice interview sessions. Throughout his Degree Apprenticeship search, Samee was shortlisted for various apprenticeships and progressed far in the selection processes.

Samee's Degree Apprenticeship at Manchester Metropolitan University will last a total of 4 years. During that time he will split his week between his apprenticeship and university. For 4 days of the week he will work at CDL, a software company based in Stockport, alongside 1 day at the university.

Combining the hands-on practical experience with expertise teaching in the field on this Degree Apprenticeship, gives Samee the skills to set him apart in the future.
