CAREERS GUIDANCE
The college careers advisers and the visiting Connexions advisers are there to help students successfully move to the next step in their career.
You will be helped to recognise your future opportunities, develop your skills, decide which direction to take and put your career plans into place. Regular drop-in sessions provide immediate information and advice.
The booked guidance sessions allow in-depth discussion around any aspect of career decisions and action planning. Our careers library is well stocked with up-to-date resources and you will also be able to access a number of career programmes via the computer network.
Each year, the college holds a progression week and organises many activities, with representatives from universities and companies sharing information with students about the opportunities they offer.
The Careers Department's main purpose is to help you with the difficult choices that face you concerning higher education and employment. Your college Tutor, alongside the careers advisers, ensure that information and advice is readily available when you need it, either as a member of a group or on an individual basis, through a programme of careers education and guidance.
The College has an extensive Careers reference library which you are encouraged to use in your own time.
