At Ashton Sixth Form College we focus on looking after every individual to help them achieve success. We recognise that students require extra support beyond classroom teaching and we offer this in a variety of ways.

AIM HIGHER
Ashton Sixth Form College is actively involved with the Government Aimhigher scheme and has a dedicated Aimhigher Co-ordinator who organises activities aimed at widening all students’ experiences of going on to Higher Education.
Aimhigher at Ashton Sixth Form College encourages young people to think about going to university, supporting them along the way and helping them to realise their potential. We have excellent partnerships with many universities who visit with their students to give advice on all aspects of student life, including financing studies, accommodation and part-time work.
In addition to this, we provide students with many practical skills; for example, study skills which demonstrate effective ways to revise and prepare for exam and presentation skills for college work or use at an interview.
We also offer a mentoring service for students needing aspirational, practical and emotional advice and support.
