A significant investment has been made in the college buildings and facilities in recent years and investment will continue to be made to ensure that students benefit from the best facilities in the future.

SPORT FACILITIES
We have great facilities for students who wish to study/enjoy sport at Ashton Sixth Form College including a large sports hall with facilities for netball and basketball, and playing fields with pitches for football and rugby.
Whether you intend to play team games to the highest competitive standard or just want to keep fit and have fun, you’ll find it all at ASFC.
We have a number of college teams including netball, rugby, ladies football, and boys' first and second team football.
In football the college is engaged in the North West Colleges League. This league comprises of 26 colleges (include ourselves) spanning as far as Blackburn. The standard is very high with most teams comprising of at least two county standard footballers and squads that have quality throughout. The league is highly competitive and is fully endorsed by the Football Association.
Our netball team reached the quarter finals of the sixth form colleges’ league in 2007 and we are keen to build on this success for the coming season. Netballers of all levels and experience are very welcome to attend netball practice on Wednesday afternoons.
For anyone who wants to play rugby union against other colleges in the NW Colleges' League, our rugby union enrichment team is for you. Ideally, you will have played at school or at club level already, although there is the opportunity for people new to the sport to try it out. Home matches are played at Dukinfield RUFC.
