The Performing Arts Department provides a variety of opportunities to develop your creative potential. The subjects offered include Music, Music Technology, Performing Arts, Drama & Theatre Studies and Dance.
» Level 3 AS/AGCE Dance
AS/AGCE Dance offers students the opportunity to experience dance in a variety of forms. Students take part in a number of workshops including, dance technique, choreography, anatomy, dance notation and dance analysis.
» Level 3 AS/AGCE Drama and Theatre Studies
AS/AGCE Drama and Theatre Studies is an exciting and stimulating course of study which invites you to think critically about some of the most famous plays ever written and at the same time allows you to create original and innovate performance work.
» Level 3 AS/AGCE Music
On the AS/AGCE Music course you will develop your performing skills using ensemble and solo work in class. Your individual compositional skills will be developed by using IT and by analysing composers' work.
» Level 3 AS/AGCE Music Technology
The AS/AGCE Music Technology course will develop your skills in computer sequencing and digital recording techniques as well as your composing and arranging skills.
» Level 3 BTEC National Diploma Performing Arts
If you enjoy all aspects of the Performing Arts from acting, singing or dancing to backstage work the BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts could be the ideal course choice. This full time course will provide you with valuable knowledge, understanding and skills across a range of disciplines.
