Our ICT and Computing department continues to grow with the addition of a new Advanced Diploma course. Whichever course you choose you can be sure that you’ll receive the support and guidance you need to succeed.

ICT & COMPUTING COURSES
» Level 3 AS/AGCE Computing
An appealing course for students with an interest in science and technology – much of your time will be spent creating working programs using a high-level programming language.
» Level 3 AS/AGCE ICT
A popular and practical course with a significant coursework element. This course will enable you to develop problem-solving skills through the use of Microsoft office.
» Level 3 Advanced Diploma in IT
A full time 2 year course studied across 2 sites – Ashton Sixth Form College and Tameside College this course is new for 09/10. If you’re interested in business and want to apply your knowledge to real-world situations this could be the course for you.
» Level 3 National Certificate ICT Practitioners (Systems Support)
Ideal for students who are interested in a career in ICT and prefer to complete assignments rather than sitting examinations.
» Level 2 First Diploma ICT Practitioners
This is a fantastic opportunity to study ICT for 1 year whilst improving your Maths/English grade. The course will allow you to progress on to our level 3 ICT courses.
