We offer an exciting range of part time courses for adults including NVQs, Childcare & Teaching Assistant courses, Foundation Degrees, Skills for Life (English, Maths, ESOL), GCSEs, I.T. & leisure courses.

HIGHER EDUCATION COURSES
The Higher Education & Skills Centre at Ashton Sixth Form College is an important provider of higher education in the Tameside area and we are currently looking to expand this programme.
Our Get Ready for Higher Education Academic Skills Course is ideal for people wanting to start Higher Education Courses with us. This course covers study skills and builds your confidence as a learner and prepares you for progressing onto our Foundation Degrees.
Foundation Degrees are part-time courses studied through one taught session per week over three years. They are flexible, work-based learning degrees available to people already in work, those wishing to embark on a career change and to students who have completed level 3 qualifications. Formal qualifications are not always necessary for entry on to a Foundation Degree, the individuals existing experience and achievements are taken into account. Our Higher Education and Support Tutor, Fiona Hall, offers support and advice for those considering doing H.E. courses at the college. She can be contacted on 0161 666 8229.
