Ashton Sixth Form College is a vibrant place for learning. We pride ourselves on putting the student at the heart of everything we do and have a strong history of success lasting over 80 years. We want to help you exceed your ambitions and aim to provide a challenging yet rewarding experience both academically and socially which will help you on your way.

We pride ourselves on the levels of support and guidance provided to help you achieve your qualifications, but also on the development of other skills to prepare you for the next stage of your career, whether that is university or employment.

Our academic record is excellent and we are proud of our students’ achievements at Ashton Sixth Form College. The college is the best in the area, with an outstanding reputation and a glowing Ofsted report. We are in the top 10% nationally for value added meaning that the vast majority of students make more rapid progress and exceed expectations at Ashton Sixth Form College than students at other colleges. These achievements recognise the outstanding work we do with all of our students at every level.

The college has been recognised as the Outstanding College of the Year for vocational provision in the UK and our A level results are the highest they have ever been. More students than ever are achieving the highest grades, significantly above the national average, with a high and growing proportion progressing to university or a Higher Education Programme with the college.

There is a strong ethos of ambition and aspiration running through the college; we aim to work with each individual student to help them reach their goal.

Visitors to the college comment on the friendly and purposeful atmosphere; relationships between the staff and students are strong, creating a true college community where each person is valued and can flourish. Ashton Sixth Form College is the place for you whether you’re a school leaver or an adult learner.

I would encourage you to visit us for one of our many open events throughout the year, to speak to the staff, but more importantly, the students so that you can understand why they chose to come to the college.

We are looking forward to meeting you and we all look forward to you joining our college community.
